I found this amazing website thanks to my sister Andrea. Craig and I thought, what a great way to keep everyone updated on our adventures!
The next adventure we are embarking on is planning our wedding and may i just say, wow.... what a lot of work it is! I have found myself glued to my computer screen, scanning thousands upon thousands of photos. There are simply too many options. Back when Grammy was married it was a miracle if the bride could afford a wedding dress.
It is a very exciting time. As a young girl I often wondered what that moment would be like. The moment a man asked for my hand in marriage. What would he be like, how old would I be, and more important than anything, would I say yes? I couldn't have imagined that Sunday morning on February 13th would be that day. The day i would have all of those answers. He is wonderful and kind, I am 25 years old, and it was the easiest decision I have ever made.
After that moment everything took off at the speed of light! Within 3 hours all of the most important people in our life knew and within 5 i'm pretty sure everyone we had ever met knew. It was the happiest day of my life and we couldn't wait to share it with everyone!
So as of today ( I say that because I change my mind all the time) we are looking at a great ranch in Bridgeport called, ironically, the Bridgeport Ranch (bridgeportranch.com, pay no attention to their choice in decor) and a few places in the Reno/Tahoe area. Trips are planned for me to go at the end of May to try and narrow the search. Thats about as far as we are on the wedding planning..
In other news, we finally planted some flowers and a tree in our prison style courtyard. We painted the walls in there a month or so ago to make in less cinderblock-ie. It actually helped a lot. So we took a trip to Lowes, bought some bright flowers and our Sunday was in motion. We spent the whole day putting in new soil and planting our beautiful fleurs.
Later that night I was reading Andreas blog about her massive vegetable wonderland growing in her back yard when I was filled with insane jealous rage which i filtered into my internet search for having a garden in Las Vegas. A few minutes later I stumbled upon some information about container gardening, intrigued by its seemingly simple execution, I read more about my options for successful growing in Las Vegas. Not a whole lot... however we are going to try a few things and see what happens. Cucumbers and Jalepenos. We will see what happens there...
Craig would like me to point out that I would never have been able to put this photo on here if it wasn't for him, sadly, he's right. As I sat here frustrated yet determined, pointing and clicking angrily he calmly took over and made it happen... this is just one of the many reasons I love him.
Wow, I'm so very impressed... you made a blog! That's awesome :) Check out the gardening section of Instructables for some really great/inexpensive/do-it-yourself gardening ideas! http://www.instructables.com/tag/type-id/category-living/channel-gardening/
